SAN DIEGO – Martin Roy Hill’s latest mystery thriller, Empty Places, is among the books featured in this year’s 48th San Diego Public Library Local Author Exhibit.

This is the second year in a row that Hill’s work has been featured in the library’s annual event honoring San Diego’s vibrant writing community. Hill’s military mystery thriller, The Killing Depths, and his award-winning short story collection, Duty: Suspense and Mystery Stories from the Cold War and Beyond, were in the library’s 2013 exhibition.

This year’s event was the first held at the new Central Library, which opened in 2013.

San Diego, California, has a rich literary history. At varying times it has been home to such novelists as Raymond Chandler, Erle Stanley Garner, Wade Miller, Joe Wambaugh, and T. Jefferson Parker.
